My mother’s magnum opus

While I was in high school in the late-1970’s, my mother, Ruth Lindeck Forman, attended and obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Northridge.  A few years after graduation, she opened a practice, Communication Enhancement, which focused on accent reduction programs for those in the medical or business fields.

My mother traveled throughout South California to provide her services. She also lectured on cultural awareness for professionals born-abroad and a more positive and inclusive approach for individuals born nationally. She presented at local, state, and national conventions.

Eventually she wrote a book. For more than 25 years, she has been working on revising that book. Finally, it is available to the public for sale.  Soul to Soul Connection and Communication is penned to promote well-being, civility, and inclusion. It is part memoir, part cultural/political analysis, and part guide to more effective in-person communication. I know she is very proud of completing it and I am proud of her for finally doing so.

Her book is available as an e-book, hardcover, or softcover on most major bookselling websites, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, and on her own website. I’ve spoken to numerous people who read prepublication drafts and found guidance and inspiration from it.  If the topic interests you, I would urge you to check it out.
